National Children’s Centre For Health Technology Site Visit

Henry Boot Construction have kindly extended an invitation to CIOB to visit their site on the 25th of March 2026.

Attendees can expect to see the design, procurement and construction of a new research and development facility on land at the intersection of Fell Road and Old Hall Road.

Building comprises 3 / 4 storey steel frame building, traditional foundations, mixture of cladding and brick facing to SFS, flat – warm roof construction.

External works including hard and soft landscaping, below ground drainage and attenuation and external services connections.

Some specialist installations by others – CARENS (Computer Assisted Rehab Environment) Gait analysis laboratory.

9am - Presentation and Site Visit

11.00am - Site Visit Concludes

• Safety Boots
• Hard Hat
• High-vis Jacket/Vest
• Safety Gloves
• Safety Glasses

Parking plan attached below – All attendees arriving by car will need to provide their vehicle registration, at least one week prior to the visit, so we can register them on to the OLP ANPR system.

1. ANPR in operation - Please ensure you have informed site staff of your vehicle registration before attending site
2. Post Code S9 3TL
3. Via A6178 Attercliffe Road
4. On to Worksop Road
5. Site parking area to the rear of the Canon Medical Arena.
6. Take the access road to right hand side of the arena.
7. Park in the furthest parking spaces.
8. Once parked use the footpath to the side of the sports pitch.
9. Follow the main boulevard to the end past the stadium.
10. The site pedestrian entrance is on Fell Road.
