Nathy Peluso aims to provoke, and there’s no limit to her continued growth which is cementing her status as a leading artist in the international music scene. Since the release of her critically acclaimed debut album “Calambre” in 2020, the Argentina-born, Spain-based singer, rapper and songwriter has taken the Latin music industry by storm with her genre versatility and explosive performance style.
‘Calambre’ catapulted Nathy to fame and success, winning “Best Alternative Album” at the 2021 Latin GRAMMYs and a nomination for “Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album” at the 2022 Grammy Awards, scoring hits with Bizarrap, C Tangana and Tiago PZK, playing Coachella, selling out two Movistar Arenas in Buenos Aires, headlining some of Spain’s biggest summer festivals, and touring all over the country. The Times gave her sold-out London show in 2022 five stars and called Nathy “on a fast track to superstardom”.
Merit lies in her multifaceted output and insatiable energy: the powerful track “Argentina” with rap sensation Trueno, her racy collaboration with C. Tangana in the bachata hit ‘Ateo’, her bossed-up female empowerment salsa anthem ‘MAFIOSA’, accruing the most viral BZRP Session, #36; and her accumulation of fans across the globe, including a number of trailblazing contemporaries including the likes of Cardi B, Megan the Stallion and J Balvin.
Beyond her musical success, Nathy Peluso also became the face of fashion brands Bimba y Lola and Adidas and in February 2022, she teamed up with the PlayStation game ‘Horizon Forbidden West” to release the official track “Emergencia”. Her COLORS-session of ‘Sana Sana’ has garnered more than 24 million views, and fan-favorite “Delito” has accumulated over 85 million streams (reaching 19 Million more views on Cardi B‘s Instagram).
In May 2024, Nathy Peluso released her newest poweful album “GRASA”, which reveals a more mature and emboldened Nathy who asserts her unique capabilities as a songwriter and performer. In the album, she seamlessly navigates rap, ballads, and tropical genres, embodying each of these genres with craft, precision and skill. Most tracks, which she co-produced and co-wrote, are the result of a close collaboration with Venezuelan musician and producer Manuel Lara (Kali Uchis, Bad Bunny). Fans will be delighted to hear Nathy’s rapping in full force across several tracks in GRASA, something she wanted to do more of for them. “The album has a tinge of Tarantino-esque violence, of danger, of passion, of breaking the rules, which represents me because I’m very passionate,” says Nathy.
