Located on the border of Portland’s inner southeast industrial district, Mother Foucault’s specializes in used, rare, and vintage books. Mother Foucaults creates the perfect cozy space and unique listening room for live music.

Great Horned Owl - is the indie folk music project of multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter, Vanderson Langjahr. Vanderson resides in Portland, Oregon and draws inspiration for his intricate storytelling from the lush Pacific Northwest landscape. He has been recording and releasing music since 2012. Great Horned Owl effortlessly blends earthy acoustic style with experimental instrumentation, electronic soundscapes and haunting melodies. His recently released full-length album, Longyear, shows off his free-flowing lyrical style with textural instrumental layering and dreamy, raw vocals.
Nate Norton & The Tempest - is a chamber-forward ensemble, emitting folk for the dark night of the soul. Pulsing nylon-stringed fingerstyle guitar lays the foundation for meticulously crafted orchestral textures to soar and weep under and in between Nate’s brassy, bellowing vocal incantations. Fans of Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine, and Jose Gonzalez often find themselves in familiar territory with Nate’s composition and style, while also finding parallels with the ominously gravelly timbre of Tom Waits. Heavily inspired by the escape from the world of religious fundamentalism, much of his catalog carries the undertones of the grim circumstances from which it was born, while also embodying a prodigious sense of uplift, triumph, and hope.
