A multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, and composer, Mercereau blends traditional and experimental approaches to explore boundless creative and spiritual possibilities. His collaborations span André 3000, The Weeknd, Jay-Z, Kamasi Washington, Leon Bridges, Sheila E., Ledisi, Jennifer Hudson, Raphael Saadiq, Lizzo, No I.D., John Legend, Jon Batiste, and even The Golden Gate Bridge. His solo and collaborative releases—Joy Techniques, SUNDAYS, Excellent Traveler (Third Man Records), and albums with Carlos Niño, Josh Johnson (Blue Note Records), Sam Gendel, Idris Ackamoor, and Surya Botofasina—showcase his genre-defying vision.
“The threads that tie it all together,” Nate says, “are exploration, freedom, creativity, discovery, openness, emotional depth, curiosity, listening, infinite possibility… It’s about ‘going there’ and reporting back.”

Nozem is een persona binnen het universum van Onzin, het muziekproject van de Antwerpse muzikant, beatmaker en theatermaker Zino Moons. Onder dit alter-ego verkent hij een instrumentaal universum van gelaagde ritmes, rafelige samples en absurdistische collages. De eerste Nozem-tape verscheen in 2023 op het tape-label van Natural Candy en werd live voorgesteld in de Bosbar/Het Bos, en in de komende maanden staan er nog vier vers geperste tapes klaar om de wereld in te sturen.
