Thunder and Rain is a Nashville-based newgrass trio blending bluegrass instrumentation with pop-, country-, and old-time–inspired songwriting, featuring soaring three-part harmonies, sing-along choruses, and driving banjo and fiddle. The band has shared stages with artists like Billy Strings, The Kruger Brothers, Peter Rowan, AJ Lee and Blue Summit, and The Brothers Comatose, with their song “Run With You” selected for the IBMA Songwriter Showcase. After touring internationally and releasing four albums, they returned with a renewed acoustic sound on their latest release, Storybook Sessions (2024).
