About this Event
NASHVILLE DRONE will take place at Emerson Hall– a beautiful renovated 1930s era church located in East Nashville – from 6pm until midnight on May 18th. The evening will feature 12+ local artists performing interlocking sets to create an unbroken wave of sustained sound and music. Attendees are free to come and go, but we hope you will join until the last note rings out to experience the meditative effects of extended, uninterrupted sound.
Emerson Hall is a wide open warehouse-style space. Performers will be in the center of the room with attendees/ droners on the floor, surrounding in a circle.
Bring comfy things! Yoga /camping mats, cushions, blankets, sleeping bags and pillows are all welcome – many droners choose to lay on the floor. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to be seated. Feel free to bring books, journals, drawing supplies, a deck of cards…anything you’d like to enter a creative space. We recommend warm and comfortable clothes, and water bottles for refilling. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.
Please do not bring motorized/inflating air mattresses, chairs, coolers, or alcohol. In the interest of animal care and safety, no pets are allowed.
Inspired by the 24-hr Drone in Basilica Hudson, we will be droning at the same date and time, a sister satellite….
