Narthen https://narthen.info/ are Jo Freya, Fi Fraser, Sarah Matthews & Doug Eunson. They play soprano sax, clarinet, whistles, fiddles, hammer dulcimer, & diatonic accordion & they sing in glorious, soaring four-part harmony.Narthen will give us two forty-five minute spots & the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience doing a song or tune if they wish.
During the day Narthen lead a vocal harmony workshop from 10:45 - 16:45 (£45, two under-25s £22). Email valmaigoodyear[at]aol[dot]com to reserve places, bring cash on the day.
Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well. We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.
