About this Event
This full-day workshop being held in downtown Nashville brings together the practices and research from the broad field of narrative psychology which includes narrative medicine and narrative therapy. Through hands-on learning, you’ll see directly how to apply these approaches to become even more effective in your professional work.
Narrative practices include examining literary arts including texts, images, and videos to enhance your professional skills such as creativity, empathy, and critical thinking while also supporting your overall well-being. Through these practices, you will develop your ability to craft your own narrative while also being able to interpret and act on the stories of others.
Throughout the day you'll engage in practical activities to support your communication and other professional skills while honoring the humanity and dignity of those you interact with. This is about “winning” yet not at the expense of other people.
These specific practices have been applied to a wide-range of professionals including: leadership, NASA, hostage negotiators, healthcare professionals, the military, business CEOs and entrepreneurs, mediators and attorneys, and many others.
Pending various professional CE’s.
