About this Event
GermanFest brings together some of the most dazzling masterworks of the repertoire, brimming with drama, romance, and imagination. Mozart’s Overture to The Magic Flute opens with luminous sparkle and Masonic grandeur, leading into a world of fantasy, wisdom, and adventure. Naples’ own scholarship soloist, Celine Eldira, a talented senior from Lely High School and winner of the 2024 Music Foundation of Greater Naples Scholarship, takes the stage with the first movement of Grieg’s Piano Concerto (1st Movement) with youthful brilliance, bringing passion and promise to one of the most popular concertos in history. Wagner’s Overture to Tannhäuser unfolds as a powerful journey of sacred devotion and earthly longing, while Schumann’s Symphony No. 4 sweeps listeners through an unbroken cycle of stormy drama, lyrical beauty, and triumphant energy. Together, these works form a vibrant celebration of German artistry—tradition, imagination, and the future of music shining side by side.
