Join the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law in partnership with the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center for the Nancy & David Wolf Lectureship: Too Little, Too Late: Nazi Trials in Postwar Germany with Dr. Rebecca Wittmann. Dr. Wittmann will examine the German justice system’s failure to address mass atrocities from the postwar period to the present. Through key trials such as Auschwitz, Majdanek, Stammheim, and Demjanjuk, she will uncover the systemic legal obstacles that allowed Nazi perpetrators to evade justice.Following her lecture, Dr. Wittmann will engage in a conversation with Dr. Sarah Crane, visiting professor of Holocaust & Genocide Studies at the University of Cincinnati, and Dr. Jack Harrison, the David and Nancy Wolf Chair in Ethics and Professional Identity at NKU’s Chase College of Law.
Schedule:
4:30-5:30 p.m.: the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center’s award-winning museum will be open for anyone who wants to come early and tour
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Lecture by Dr. Rebecca Wittmann and Q&A with Jack Harrison and Dr. Sarah Crane in Reakirt Auditorium
6:30-7:30 p.m.: Reception in historic Rotunda with music, food, and drinks
