
About this Event
Join us at Sawyer Point on May 10th at 9 AM for our annual walk for mental health awareness. Together, we will advocate for change in our community. It will take all of us to demand victory over mental illness. That's why NAMI Southwest Ohio provides a safe space at NAMIWalks in everything they do, and for everyone who joins the mission. Each participant will stand by you and walk by your side every step of the way. "Mental Health for All," here we come. Registration starts at 9am and each participant will receive a free coffee from Happy Coffee! We will start the opening ceremony at 9:45am and we walk at 10!

Where do I park? Complimentary event parking is first come first served at the Sawyer Point Park Lot. Additional parking is located North of the park in several city lots, and street parking is close by as well. To enter the park we encourage you to use the North entrance near the Kellogg Circle.
Can I register at the event? Yes, event day registration is available. Please visit the Registration tent when you arrive onsite. Please note: for liability purposes, all participants should be registered. Our digital check-in system makes it quick & easy.
What if it rains? Mental health conditions don't stop for rain, and neither do we! We'll be there rain or shine.
Can I bring a stroller with me on event day? Yes, strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters are welcome, and children are encouraged. This is a family event and the route is accessible!
Can I bring my dog? Yes. All pets must be on a leash and must adhere to general park rules. Please remember to bring clean up bags to clean up after your pet.
Will there be coffee, food, and water at the event? There is a Food and Water Tent where you can find a bottle of water and a light snack before or after you walk. Free Happy Coffee when you sign in! NEW THIS YEAR: Beverly Ann's Cookies will be ready at 9:30 am to sell cookies and ice cream & donate a portion back to NAMIWalks!Returning favorites Travelin' Tom's Coffee truck will be ready at 8:30 am to sell coffee and Kona Ice food truck will be ready at 9:30am to sell shaved ice & donate a portion back to NAMIWalks!
How long is the walk? The route is approximately a 5K. It does loop so you may choose to do only a portion of the route and come back to the Festival area without proceeding. The route map is pictured below.
Where do I pick-up my T-Shirt? Any registered participant who raises a minimum of $100 by Walk Day* will be able to pick up their t-shirt on Walk Day.*T-shirts and sizes are first come, first serve so please plan to arrive early. Visit the T-Shirt tent onsite.
Can I just purchase a T-Shirt on Walk Day? Official NAMIWalks 2025 shirts are only available for those registered participants that raise $100+ by Walk Day. However, other shirt options are available to order - visit the NAMI SWOH Bonfire Store to check them out! We will have last years shirts for sale for $5!
