Call for Community Artists
NAMI Knoxville invites artists of all backgrounds to participate in the upcoming 2025 Pathways to Hope Art Contest and Exhibition, scheduled for August 23rd, 2025, at the Knoxville Public Works Building.
This year’s theme — Pathways to Hope: Faith and Mental Health Through Art — encourages artists to explore the profound connection between spirituality and mental health. Through visual storytelling and creative expression, we invite you to illuminate how faith can guide, comfort, and empower those navigating mental health challenges.

🗓 Event Details
• Submission Deadline: August 15th, 2025
• Exhibition & Live Award Ceremony: August 23rd, 2025
• Location & Reception: Knoxville Public Works Building, Knoxville, TN
• Attendance Requirement: Artists must be present at the August 23rd showing.

✅ Eligibility
This contest is open to:
• Individuals 13 years and older
• Artists from all spiritual traditions, faiths, and belief systems
• Both emerging and established artists

🎨 Accepted Mediums
We welcome original artwork in a wide range of formats, including:
• Painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor)
• Drawing (pencil, charcoal, ink)
• Photography
• Mixed media
• Digital art
• Sculpture
• Collage
• Short video (performance, spoken word, animation, etc.)
📌 Note: All works must be original and created by the submitting artist. Entries must be inclusive, respectful, and non-promotional in nature.

📥 Submission Guidelines
To participate, artists must submit a fully completed entry by August 15th at 5:00 PM.
Required materials:
1. Artwork File:
• A clear, high-resolution image of the artwork or a video file/link for video submissions.
2. Artwork Details:
• Title
• Medium
• Dimensions (Height x Width x Depth, if applicable)
3. Artist Statement (max 150 words):
• Describe how your work reflects the theme of faith and mental health.
4. Contact Information:
• Full Name
• Age
• Email Address
