NAMI LGBTQ Connection Support Group
Join us at the NAMI LGBTQ Connection Support Group! This weekly, in-person group is a safe space for members of the LGBTQ community to connect, share experiences, and support one another. NAMI LGBTQ+ Connections Support Group is an evidence-based support group for any 18 or older LGBTQ+ individual who self identifies as having a mental health condition.
The group will meet at the Caribou on Ingersoll(3220 Ingersoll Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50312) and provides an entirely confidential, welcoming environment for individuals. Whether you're looking for a listening ear or to meet someone with a shared experience, this group is here for you. At NAMI Iowa, we uplift lived experience and we're excited to do so in this group.
No registration required to attend. Attendees must be 18 or older. No formal mental health diagnosis required to join.

NAMI Iowa provides education, support, and advocacy for people with mental health conditions and their loved ones. Our support groups are led by trained facilitators who create safe spaces where you can listen, learn, and feel connected to others who’ve been there.
