About this Event
NAM common, a community project space that explores Vietnamese and Asian diaspora through curated media, will be presenting a menu for Queen Rose Art House’s monthly cookout in May. The cookout is paired with a pop-up exhibition on view inside the Queen Rose Gallery by artist Nic Annette Miller.
The star ingredient to their dish Bún Chả Hà Nội isn’t the charred pork patties but the tangy fish dipping broth it is drenched in. Inside the gallery when viewing Vơi Cá (with fish) of sculptural woodcut prints, guests will learn more about fish sauce, nước chấm, and the importance of processed fish plays in shaping cherished cultural dishes and family meals, identity, and archiving.
