The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology prepares learners for work as nail technicians, employed or self-employed.
About this Event

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology is a well-regarded vocational qualification for those pursuing a career as a nail technician, either employed or self-employed. It is based on the Nail Services National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by leading professional bodies, including BABTAC and the FHT, as suitable preparation for professional practice.

The qualification is made up of two parts, the Award in LED Gel Polish Techniques and Certificate in Nail Technology.

This qualification will develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to prepare learners for employment as a junior nail technician. Learners will have their nail services skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.

This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a nail technician including: providing and maintaining nail enhancements, manicure treatments, health and safety and client care.
Learners will also develop their understanding and skills by studying a specialist unit of pedicure. In addition we are offering an upgrade to this course to include another unit - Award in LED Gel Polish Techniques. This will be included within the delivery hours of the main qualification.
This qualification structure provides learners with the flexibility to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required depending upon their designated career pathway as a nail technician.
