About this Event
Néstor Ló y Los Caminantes is a Paraguayan band and a prominent figure in today’s folk music scene, preserving and celebrating indigenous culture and regional identity through a unique musical style.
The band has gained significant recognition both nationally and regionally, performing at major international festivals such as the Fiesta Nacional del Chamamé in Corrientes, Argentina, and the FESTOP in Dourados, Brazil. They have also received important distinctions, including the Recuerdos de Ypacaraí at the Festival del Lago, the Ñandutí de Plata and Ñandutí de Oro, becoming the only Paraguayan group to win four awards at the Festival Nacional del Ñandutí as well as the Poncho Para’i de Oro at the Festival del Poncho Para’i de 60 Listas. They were also honoured with the Premio Nacional de Música by the Congreso Nacional del Paraguay, and named Tourism Ambassadors of Paraguay by the Secretaría Nacional de Turismo.
Recently, the band released their third album, NDAIPÓRI FRONTERA, featuring collaborations with leading regional artists and a rich fusion of genres such as Paraguayan folk, candombe, funk, rock, bolero, cumbia, and vallenato. This work reaffirms their commitment to evolving Paraguayan folk music, aiming for a fresh, global sound without losing their roots.
