Listen to the authentic Métis fiddle music of Joseph Desjarlais and enjoy a performance by Derek Racette who will showcase his jigging steps and encourage the audience to jig with him.This program will be held at the Albert Library branch on November 5th from 7:00 to 8:00 PM

About the Presenter: Born and raised in the northern Métis community of Ile-a-la Crosse, Joseph Desjarlais began fiddle studies at age ten with John Arcand. And while he’s branched out into performing other fiddle styles, Joseph finds it hard not to turn every tune he plays into old-time Métis.
This program is part of the 2024 Métis Cultural Series.
