Late in the 16th century, Guru Nanak composed Japji, the foundational poem of the Kundalini Yoga traditions as well as Sikhism, following three days underwater in mystical transfigurement. This is the poem we recite each morning in sadhana, and the poem from which come most of the mantras we use in practice and in life. A poem of astonishing beauty, great wit, boundless wisdom, and unique music, it is worth exploring not only for what it can teach us about how divine illumination can move through poets and mystics, but for what can happen for cultures and peoples when they root their daily practices and cultural values in what such poems reveal.

This unique 2-part workshop will be led by award-winning poet & playwright Ariana Reines, & includes a kundalini set specially curated & taught by Pritam Siri.
