About this Event
In Tasmania, strange lights appear in the skies every summer, but have some Hobart residents been targeted for alien abduction?
Brendan Colley won the 2019 Tasmanian Premier’s Literary Prize for an Unpublished Manuscript for The Signal Line.
It’s a novel about a ghost train arriving in Hobart and it was published in 2022 by Transit Lounge.
This time he’s back with a new novel, The Season For Flying Saucers.
What is it that piques Brendan’s interest about these strange phenomena?
The book is described as ‘strange, alluring, and tender’ and the State Library and Archives of Tasmania has a cameo.
Join novelist and Vogel Prize winner Kate Kruimink in conversation with Brendan Colley to celebrate the launch of his new book at a free event at the State Library and Archives of Tasmania.
Hobart Bookshop will be on hand with copies of the book, and refreshments will be served.
