About this Event
Join us for a cosy storytelling session (conducted in English) of the children’s picture book “My Name is Alyssa. I have Down syndrome”. The book is written by Ilyana Ali (Alyssa’s mother), illustrated and designed by award-winning Indonesian illustrator Evelyn Ghozalli (professionally known as EorG) and published by Helang Books. This is Book 3 in the “I am Unique” bilingual series of books about children with special needs. The book typeface is set in Dyslexie Font, a font specially designed for readers with dyslexia.
Alyssa is a lovely little girl who has Down syndrome. Despite her condition, Alyssa is an active child who enjoys playing, reading and dancing. Although she takes a while to warm up to new people whom she meets, but if you know how to tickle her funny bone, you will click with her instantly!
Have you met someone with Down syndrome like Alyssa?
This storytelling session is facilitated by Lee Seow Ser and Tan Ai Khim.
