With a life-long mission to always introduce something new and exciting, well-experienced media, content and music executive Ahmad Izham Omar has ignited several different creative fields. He is not only well-versed in the creative process of multiple content types, but also has a successful and enviable track record in the media and content business across Southeast Asia (SEA). He is a much sought-out executive and advisor especially in the disciplines of business management, strategy, new venture creation, content creation and marketing in the creative audio and video fields (film, OTT, broadcast, music) in SEA.
Izham is currently Founder and Chief Explorer of Komet Productions, a venture focused on investment, production, marketing and distribution of new and progressive film, TV and music content from Southeast Asia. His past work experiences as Executive Director at the Walt Disney Studios, as CEO at Primeworks Studios, Media Prima and 8TV, as Radio Head at Media Prima, and as Music Producer and Label Owner of Positive Tone and Monkey Bone, all his works involved introducing new and innovative artists, works and ways to curate, consume and contribute to the development of the music and media industries in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
Izham has an MBA from the Suffolk University and a BMus in Music Production & Engineering from the Berklee College of Music, both in Boston, MA USA. He also took an International Management course at IESE, Barcelona, Spain, and an Effective Media Strategies course at Harvard University, Cambridge, USA.
