Kathryn Jordan has organized “My First Playgroup”- a playtime for babies, toddlers and preschoolers and a place for parents who are looking for community to come together. Parents can watch their children play and best of all, can have conversation with other adults and make new friends. Our Nursery area will be utilized which contains everything needed for children to have fun in a safe welcoming space. Parents are asked to bring snacks to share (only if you can) and coffee will be served. Parents could bring a coffee tumbler with a lid for coffee. Parking is available in the church parking lot off of Johnston Street. Entry will be through the glass door on the left. There is a secondary safety door which will be monitored or can be accessed by calling Kathryn (318) 617-0847. Please share this information with others who would benefit from this new group.
Kathryn and her husband Jeffrey have been members of FUMC Lafayette for over three years. This is actually their second move to Lafayette and they immediately started attending because of the warm welcome and affection of the church. They have 3 children ages 12, 10 and 2.5 years old. Kathryn loves art and does graphic design work from home. We are very fortunate to have them as members and we thank Kathryn for taking a step of faith by starting this group.
