mxmtoon, known for her upbeat indie pop songs, explores the complexity of mother-daughter relationships in her third album Liminal Space, inspired by her mother's cancer diagnosis. The album, with a grander sound than ever, explores how people cope with change. With an all-female team and more creative control, mxmtoon returned to the intimate style of her early work. She emphasises that self-discovery is an ongoing process, where uncertainty and freedom can coexist....
