MWEBAZA ANNUAL HOUSE CONCERT

Every year, we host a house concert as a way to bring our community together, share updates on the Foundation's work, and raise money for our mission. We also want to treat you, our supporters, to an amazing night of connection, optimism, and hope. There's much to be sad about in the world right now, and also much to celebrate.

Which is why we feel that it's so important to come together with our like-minded friends: to remember that what we need more than anything right now is laughter, friendship, dancing, and joy. Come celebrate all the amazing things Mwebaza (with your help and generosity) has accomplished this year.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

MUSIC: The Front Range is home to so many amazing musicians so we try to shake it up each year. Guests at our 2025 House Concert will get to listen to the amazing Americana music of Taylor Shae Band, out of Fort Collins, Colorado.

FOOD: Our very own Board member, Sharon Kalenzi, is organizing amazing Ugandan catering so guests get to dine on delicious, fresh, and authentic recipes from the Pearl of Africa. Food is included in the price of your ticket, so load up on the matoke.

LIVE AUCTION: We work hard finding unique, valuable auction items that are reflective of our community and our mission. From original artwork to vacation rentals to Ugandan crafts, our auction baskets have a little something for everyone and every budget. Don't be afraid to get in the spirit of giving and raise that paddle. It's a thrill!

Info: Kick off your shoes and get ready to groove 'cause Taylor Shae Band brings the vibes! After you've worked up a little appetite, head over to our Ugandan buffet and help yourself to delectable, authentic dishes!

Info: Bid on baskets with amazing prizes, collected from local businesses around Longmont, Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins. Or, purchase an experience like a mountain getaway or a Hawaiian vacation. Money raised at our annual House Concert helps support our mission year-round. For those not looking to take home a large prize but still donate to our work, we'll have a final round of paddle calls, where guests can choose to donate incremental amounts to certain Foundation-specific initiatives: like funding a small salary for a Ugandan educator to teach our cross-cultural programs in our Ugandan partner schools.
