M/WBE Construction Mentors - Tech Tools to Help You Succeed in NYC Contracting

SBS' M/WBE Mentors is excited to present on this topic for the first time! Join us for this free virtual event where experienced M/WBE Mentors discuss their favorite technology productivity tools to assist with writing winning bids and proposals and for efficient construction back office practices. We'll also dive into the exciting world of AI and how it can supercharge your proposal writing! Learn firsthand how these entrepreneurs leverage technology to streamline their processes, increase efficiency, and maximize their success rates.

Event Schedule:
● 11:30 am - 12:00 pm: Before the panel, attend the networking session with your M/WBE peers to build relationships and share insights. Get tips for making the most of the pre-event networking session here.
● 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Engaging & informative panel discussion with experienced M/WBE Mentors
● 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Speak directly with the M/WBE Mentors in small breakout session groups - and network with other attending M/WBEs.
NYC has aggressive M/WBE participation goals on their procurements. Each agency is charged with achieving at least 30% M/WBE utilization overall on their contracts each fiscal year. The City's overall spending goal with M/WBEs is $25 Billion by 2025 and $60 Billion by 2030. Get your share of the pot!

To maximize the event’s value, attend the pre-event and the with individual panelists and a Small Business Services (SBS) representative, an expert in NYC SBS offerings, who will provide guidance on SBS' free services and NYC procurement.

About SBS' M/WBE Mentors Program
The program, provided by the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), is the first peer mentorship program for NYC’s certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs).
Through an event series, highly successful entrepreneurs from a variety of industries and backgrounds serve as mentors. By mining their own experience for advice, these mentors provide the insight their peers need to succeed and chart their own path of growth through government contracting.
