Join DuMA and DBQ Pride for a special documentary screening and virtual conversation with Mexican artist Hugo Ximello-Salido.MUXE tells the story of Ximello-Salido’s artistic journey through Oaxaca, México, as he learns about Muxe—a fusion of Zapotec culture and colonial influence where gender fluidity blossoms, self-expression creates beauty, and art and life converge.
MUXE: The Language of Art & Culture is produced by Luminous Art Productions and presented in conjunction with the exhibition Threads of Belonging, co-curated by Dubuque Unidos. Admission is free of charge.
