We’re doggone excited to announce a brand-new event coming to Harrisonburg on March 21: the Mutt Strut 5K!All dogs receive a commemorative race bandana, and the 5K route winds through the Friendly City Trail and the paths of Hillandale Park — the perfect place to stretch your legs (and paws). Whether you’re chasing a PR or just chasing squirrels, this event is all about welcoming spring, taking sniff breaks, and supporting a great cause.

Mutt Strut Highlights:
🐕 Saturday, March 21 at 9:00 AM
🐾 Dogs not required! Runners and walkers without dogs are absolutely welcome
🔗 All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash — safety first
🐶 Please make sure your pup is comfortable around crowds and other dogs
💧 Multiple water stops along the route for people and pets
🧹 Please pick up after your dog along the course
