Lyfe Jennings is an American singer, songwriter, and producer best known for R&B hits throughout the 2000s.
He made his stage debut at the famed Apollo Theater Amateur Night in 2002, immediately winning over a booing crowd and taking first place five nights in a row.
After signing to Columbia Records in 2004, he released the Platinum-certified debut Lyfe 268-192, featuring his best-known song, “Must Be Nice.”
The Gold-certified 2006 album The Phoenix hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and produced the hit single “S.E.X.”
In 2008, he returned to the Apollo Theater where he got his start for a special performance on the TV series Showtime At The Apollo.
R&B singer KeKe Wyatt made her name by duetting with Avant on his 2000 hit “My First Love.” The success of “My First Love” led to a deal with Avant’s label, MCA Records. Wyatt recorded her gold-selling 2001 debut album, Soul Sista, in a two-week period. Avant features on two songs, including the hit “Nothing In this World.”
Horace Brown, A smooth R&B singer and songwriter who placed four singles on Billboard's R&B chart during the post-new jack swing mid-'90s.Brown's first true break came in 1991, when Jodeci's DeVante Swing took a liking to his demo. Brown debuted in 1994 with "Taste Your Love,", and the player's anthem, " One For The Money".
North Carolina R&B singer Sunshine Anderson busted out in 2001 during the neo-soul boom with her gold-selling debut, Your Woman, a funky, '70s-influenced album with a contemporary vibe that featured the hit "Heard It All Before."
