"Rustic Classical" - Works of Gyrowetz, Brandl, Lidl, Rózsavölgyi, and Mozart

This program explores boisterous chamber works from the Classical era with an exotic Bohemian flair, including the Flute Quartet in G Major by Adalbert Gyrowetz, Johann Evangelist Brandl’s Notturno in E-flat Major for two violas and cello, the Quintet in D Major for flute and strings by Andreas Lidl, and a set of toe-tapping Hungarian dances. Also featured is a period arrangement for flute and strings of Mozart’s Rondo “alla Turca.”
