The Germanic Heritage Auxiliary is presenting a musical tribute to the Austrian-Bohemian Poet, Rainer Maria Rilke, featuring Dane Waters, a local musician and composer, and German American Club Kinderchor Director.Dane will present a selection of some of Rainer Maria Rilke’s Sonnets to Orpheus which she has set to music. Dane will sing some of the sonnets in German accompanying herself on the guitar. She will also provide a translation of the sonnets along with biographical information about Rilke.
Doors open at 5:30PM on March 31.
There will be a cash bar. Feel free to bring snacks to share!
