Musical Improv Level Two: Making Meaningful Scenes & Songs

This seven week course will focus on creating meaningful scenes and songs in the moment. Students will learn to earn the song in the scenes with strong characters and emotional points of view. Students will learn a variety of new structures such as chorus/verse songs and trios to keep their songs fresh and fabulous. Finally, students will practice supporting the scene, turning every song into a full musical number! This class includes a showcase. The prerequisite for this class is Musical Improv Level One at Stomping Ground Comedy and Level Two Improv or the equivalent with permission from the Training Center Director.

• Character/POV Solo Songs
• Supporting the Scene & Song
• Group Scenes & Numbers
• Showcase Form: Musical Harold

This is a 7 week recurring in-person course held Wednesdays from 7-9:30pm starting Wednesday, September 3rd. The instructors are Kelsey Eigsti & Josh Diamond. All sales are final. Listed price of class does not include Eventbrite's service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment may be deferred to a future class with TCD approval. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
