MUSICAL AUDITIONS: The Drowsy ChaperoneDirected by: Renae Perry
Audition Dates: May 3 from 3 pm - 6 pm & May 4 from 2 pm to 5 pm, 2025
Performance Dates: July 18-20 & 25-26, 2025
Must be 18 years or older to audition

Auditions must be scheduled via TheaterForms at: https://www.theaterforms.com/Gaslight/Drowsy/auditionform/ Walk-ins will not be allowed.
Auditions will consist of a 5-minute scheduled time to meet individually with the director and casting team as well as a group dance call. Each auditioner should first choose an audition block in TheaterForms:
Saturday, 5/3: 3 pm - 6 pm
**or**
Sunday, 5/4: 2 pm - 5 pm
You will not need to attend both days.
Then you will choose your 5-minute individual audition time on your chosen day. For Saturday auditions, the dance call will take place from 4 pm to 5 pm. For Sunday auditions, the dance call will take place from 3 pm to 4 pm. Dance Calls are required for all auditioners except for those only interested in Man in Chair.

The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Golden Age musical, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another.
With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
