Song Performance Preparation
Go beyond karaoke night and tell a story with your song! Part analysis and part performance, this two-part class will use the road map of a piece of music (tempo, rhythm, dynamics, and lyrics) to create a character and dig into the heart of a song. Explore techniques and tricks to make choices that let your voice and storytelling shine while the audience stays rapt in your performance.

Join us for the Gaslight Theatre Training Series!
Join master educator Lindsey Newell for a series of theatre classes to help build confidence in film and theatre performance. After spending 13 years in Los Angeles as an actress, writer, and producer, Lindsey has returned to her hometown of Enid, OK. She believes that "anyone with enough curiosity and drive to learn can become an actor and improve their skill." She has spent the last few years teaching acting foundations, on-camera technique, and sitcom acting at Scott Sedita's Acting Studio in Larchmont Village, CA. In recognition of this partnership, Autry Tech will waive out-of-district costs for students who want to attend this training, but that live outside Autry Tech’s district. We recognize the importance of community theater and the expertise this instructor brings to the Enid community and, therefore, wish to make this training available to all aspiring performers in the area.
