About this Event
In writing piano trios, composers both great and less well known have risen to the challenge of crafting beauty and balance in scores for three wildly dissimilar instruments. That there are so many beloved trios for violin, violoncello, and piano is potent testimony to the inspiration that drove many a quill across lined paper! This early-spring afternoon, we're blessed with Haydn's most famous chamber piece and what many feel is Clara Schumann's finest work. Between them lies the charming early romantic (or very late classical) piano trio by redoubtable Dresden composer Hélène Riese Liebmann. Two supremely abilitied women and "Papa" Haydn – how can you possibly not join us?!
