About this Event
Our popular Music Industry Mondays is back for 2023. And as always – it's free!
Join us each week for:
- Music industry discussion and insights from our rotating cast of experts: artist development expert JD Donovan, platinum-selling artist manager and executive Kwame Kwaten, the founder of MTV Base and MiSoul radio host Lindsay Wesker, + more guests
- An open mic – your chance to show off your talents. In 2023, we'll be giving you the chance to have your performances recorded and filmed, and you can take that away for a small fee! (More info below)
- Networking and drinks
So mark those diaries, bring those business cards, put on your best smile and grab yourself a music-themed Orbit Beer or soft drink from the Music Box bar – and let's make Mondays cool again. Or at least more bearable for us musicians and music biz types.
Open Mic – Record your performance ?
Our in-house content team, who regularly work BIG events, can record and video your two song performance live for you to take away – for the small fee of only £30! (Trust, that's a bargain). If you'd like to do this, please indicate when you register and you can make payment on the night. Your recorded set will be sent securely to the email you provide. Please note that mixing and editing is not included. We'll live cut the video and give you the audio as one file. You can do with it what you want from there.
If you want to perform at the Open Mic, basic backline is Piano, acoustic guitar plus an Aux cable for any track playback (if you have a different type of phone/device, bring your own connector). You'll be able to sign up on the night.
