Free Community Concerts | April – October
Welcome to Music in the Valley, a brand-new community concert series hosted at the Shenandoah County Community Center—a fully renovated, historic space reimagined to serve the entire county through connection, programming, and shared experiences.
Launching this April, this Fourth Friday Concert Series is designed to bring our community together in a meaningful way—through live music, local partnerships, and accessible, family-friendly events that align with our nonprofit mission of education, wellness, and community connection for all.
Set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, these evenings are intended to feel easy, welcoming, and distinctly Shenandoah.
What to Expect
Each concert offers a relaxed, community-centered experience:
- 🎶 Live music
- 🍔 Food trucks
- 🍻 Cash bar

Community Supporting Community
A core part of this series is our commitment to nonprofits supporting nonprofits.
At each concert, we will feature a local nonprofit organization, giving them a platform to share their mission, connect with the community, and expand their impact.
Our opening concert on April 24 will spotlight , one of our valued partners located right here within the Community Center. Wild Child provides hands-on, nature-based learning experiences for children and families, fostering curiosity, creativity, and connection to the natural world.
We are proud to kick off the series by highlighting an organization that reflects the same values of community, education, and accessibility that drive our work.
About the Series
As a nonprofit organization, the Shenandoah County Community Center is committed to creating opportunities that are open, welcoming, and accessible to all residents across the county.
Music in the Valley is more than a concert series—it’s a place to gather, unwind, and build community together.
We look forward to welcoming you.
