This week at the Lake Harriet Bandshell we are hosting Consolation Champ, a rock band. "Consolation Champ PLAYED THEIR FIRST SHOW TOGETHER IN JANUARY OF 2005 AT THE 400 BAR IN MINNEAPOLIS. 375 PERFORMANCES, 37 STATES, 4 WEDDINGS, 11 CHILDREN, AND 6 DOGS LATER, THESE BALDING BUDDIES FROM BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTA CONTINUE TO PURSUE GOOD SONGS AND GOOD SHOWS THAT MOVE PEOPLE. SHORTHAND FOR A LONG WALK IS THE BAND’S FOURTH ALBUM AND WAS EXTREMELY FUN TO MAKE. PRODUCED BY THE MULTI-TALENTED RYAN MACH, IT’S C. CHAMP’S BEST ATTEMPT YET AT MAKING SONGS WITH UNIVERSAL SUBJECT MATTER AND A CLASSIC SOUND THAT STILL MANAGE TO BE INTERESTING.

Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer.
