This show will feature music from 1976 to 2026. During this period, the post-1960s wave of global fusion saw Pandit Ravi Shankar’s influence on George Harrison, and the Beatles helped bring U.S. interest in Indian classical music, leading to a surge of world music festivals and cultural exchange programs. The theme of the concert will be a wonderful modern extension of that cross-cultural journey.
Music in the Chamber occurs monthly from January through June. Each concert in 2026 highlights a distinct 50-year chapter in America’s musical journey.
