The Musicians
Maria-Elena Farrugia – Piano
Maria-Elena Farrugia is an established Maltese pianist who has won several local and international competitions, including the EPTA (Malta) Competition and the Gianluca Campochiaro Competition in Sicily. Her success also led to masterclasses at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she performed as a soloist and in chamber ensembles.
She holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music and a First Class Honours Bachelor of Music from the University of Malta. Maria-Elena performs regularly in Malta and the UK at venues and events such as the Presidential Palace, Manoel Theatre and the Malta International Arts Festival.
Heorhii Vasyliev - Violin
A virtuoso violinist celebrated for his luminous tone and expressive phrasing. A graduate of leading European conservatories, Heorhii has performed across Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland. His artistry bridges the classical tradition with contemporary repertoire, making him a captivating soloist and chamber musician.
Rostyslav Hirnyk - Double bass
Known for the warmth, depth, and sophistication of his sound, Rostyslav brings unique richness to every performance. His career includes collaborations with international chamber ensembles, appearances at festivals across Europe, and projects that span from classical symphonic repertoire to modern crossover. His double bass playing adds both grounding resonance and lyrical elegance to the trio.
