VIVA LA VIDA! Week 3 of this live music series features a program of classical guitar by William Feasley in conjunction with the Frida Kahlo exhibit at VMFA. The concert begins with three Mexican Folk Songs arranged by Manuel Ponce, whose arrangements are so popular that they became as recognizable as many of his Folk Song settings. Listen for Mariachi-inspired songs adapted to solo guitar and other pieces with a more Indigenous sounding folk based texture. A culturally immersive evening of music!
The concert will be 45-60 minutes without an intermission. No refreshments are served -- let the music be your dessert!
