About this Event
The creative journey is deeply personal, rewarding, and, at times, challenging, especially as we navigate evolving definitions of success at different stages of life.
Many music creators grapple with mental health concerns tied to the pressures of the industry, the creative process, and personal expectations, including the often-discouraging belief that age impacts their potential for success.
This monthly gathering provides a supportive space to discuss these challenges, share experiences, and explore strategies for maintaining well-being and confidence in your journey as a music creator, no matter your age.
This Month’s Topic: Artists Aging in the Industry
Is there an expiration date on success in music? Many creatives experience anxiety or discouragement from believing they've missed their "prime." But numerous artists across various genres have launched thriving, sustainable careers in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond.
In this session, we’ll highlight inspiring examples of artists who found significant success later in life, opening a candid discussion to confront and overcome fears around aging in the music industry. We'll explore ways to reshape perceptions, boost confidence, and embrace the unique advantages and authenticity that come with experience and maturity.
Led by Joanna Borne, a seasoned music creator with firsthand experience navigating the highs and lows of the industry, this group is insightful, welcoming, and open to all music creators committed to prioritizing their mental wellness. Joanna fosters safe spaces for open, confidential conversations, ensuring each participant feels supported, respected, and empowered.
Whether you choose to share your story or simply listen, know that every participant signs a confidentiality agreement. What’s shared here stays here. This is not group therapy, but a collaborative space for music creators to learn from and support one another in navigating creativity and mental wellness.
