The Déjà Vu Players return for another concert of chamber music at 7 PM on Saturday, April 18, at the Fairbanks First United Methodist Church as part of the Music & More performance series.The Déjà Vu Players feature original members Ted DeCorso, clarinet; Paul Krejci, piano; and Thom McLean, violin and viola.
Their program includes two outstanding chamber pieces: the exotic Trio for Violin, Clarinet and Piano (1932) by Aram Khachaturian and four selections from the beautiful, late Romantic set of Eight Pieces for Clarinet, Viola, and Piano (1910) by Max Bruch.
Also, in a salute to the people of Ukraine they will offer two compositions for clarinet and piano based on Ukrainian folk tunes by Myroslav Skoryk and Tomas Friberg.
The program will include two other works for clarinet and piano: an exciting set of Latin American dance pieces composed by Cuban musician Paquito D’Rivera and a showy contest solo by the Frenchman Henri Rabaud.
