Join us as Joanna Rotté interviews musician Steve Gorn about the intersection between music and meditation: how we may learn to listen mindfully, more like a musician listens; how music-playing how learning to listen can deepen our meditation practice; and how contemplative music may rise to the level of dharma art.Steve Gorn is an internationally renowned flutist whose playing is said to ‘re-align the cells.' He is featured on the Grammy-winning recording Miho: Journey to the Mountain with the Paul Winter Consort as well as in the Academy Award-winning documentary film Born into Brothels. He performs Indian classical music and new American music on the bansuri bamboo flute, soprano saxophone, and clarinet. A student of Chogyam Trungpa since 1977, he performs at festivals and concerts around the world.
