Mushroom ‘Life Drawing’ Workshop with @fungi.futures
Join us for a creative workshop with artist Maymana Arefin (@fungi.futures) to admire, appreciate and illustrate the vast array of mushrooms all around us. Any or no experience with art and drawing welcome! We will be using paints and pastels to illustrate mushrooms together, whilst the facilitator shares knowledge about them.
This in-person workshop will take place at Sutton Hall, 2 and 4 Homerton High St. The event will be an informal, community gathering and a chance to connect with fellow mushroom enthusiasts. Bring your enthusiasm and we'll provide materials and fungi for inspiration.

This event is a part of the GROW URBAN FESTIVAL most of which is taking place during The Great Big Green Week, 8-16 June 2024. There are more than 30 events in the Festival programme, all aiming to promote greening and growing in and around London. There are a huge range of activities including foraging walks, mushroom growing and bee hotel building workshops, digging up school playgrounds, dinners, talks and much more.
