About this Event
At this event you will have the opportunity to meet and hear perspectives about the exhibition from curator, Emilia Mickevicius as she guides members of Arizona Photography Alliance through a private tour of inside the Norton Photography Gallery.
Drawn primarily from the collections of the Center for Creative Photography and Phoenix Art Museum, this exhibition showcases a wide range of historic and contemporary photographic works which focus on the human figure and bodily experiences.
The Phoenix Art Museum describes the featured works as demonstrating “how artists have grappled with physicality, dimension, beauty, form, and the politics of the body in the landscape and urban environment. Subjects are presented in the context of growing older, sports, and abstraction, offering audiences the opportunity to consider the body’s ability to morph and bear traces of lived experiences.”
The tour is limited to 30 AZPA members.
