Scarborough Jazz Club patrons will know that the venue, the Cask Inn, faces an uncertain future at the moment, so in keeping with jazz tradition the management is playing it by ear. Until further notice it’s at the Cask. On January 8th the Club welcomes in the New Year with a saxophonist who has graduated from the Club’s New Jazz Generation programme to be guest soloist. His inspirations include the straight ahead playing of Eric Alexander and Joel Frahm. Supported by the MG3: Mark Gordon (keyboard), Bob Walker (bass) and Rowan Oliver (drums), plus Adrian Riley (congas/percussion)
