Welcome to our 15-day tour to South Australia featuring South Australia’s Nature Wonders – the newly built and opened Monarto Safari Resort, Murray Princess and Kangaroo Island. Sit back and meet your fellow travellers as we make our way south with a morning stop at Bulahdelah. Enjoy a light lunch at Ourimbah RSL. Our travels this afternoon take us further southwest of Sydney to Goulburn. A welcome dinner awaits us in the hotel.

Day 2 (BLD) GOULBURN TO HAY Sunday 16 August 2026
We have a travel day today, so sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. We’ll stop along the way for a morning break and to purchase lunch. This afternoon we cross the Hay Plains to Hay. It is vast, it's flat, and it's empty, but nonetheless fascinating, especially for most of us who live on the North Coast. We will visit the Shearers Hall of Fame,e or Shear Australia as it’s called. We spend some time in the Hall of Fame and inspect a large working shearing shed before arriving at our overnight accommodation.

DAY 3 (BD) HAY TO MANNUM Monday 17 August 2026
We have an early start today as we continue west, taking in Ouyen and Pinnaroo before arriving in Mannum, the birthplace of the Murray River trade and communication. Mid-afternoon, the Murray Princess departs historic Mannum and heads upriver while we enjoy a welcome dinner. As we cruise under floodlight to our overnight mooring at Caurnamont, we may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, hairy-nosed wombats, tortoises, egrets and many other species. The onboard entertainer provides music for the night owls.

Day 4 (BLD) MURRAY PRINCESS Tuesday 18 August 2026
Daybreak and it’s time for the keen photographers to be out to capture the special light and the morning movement of wildlife. Prolific birdlife includes pelicans, wrens and swans. Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch cruising upriver to Blanchetown through one of 13 locks, which maintain the flow and levels of the river's water. This afternoon, we moor opposite the township of Blanchetown for our overnight anchorage. As the last rays of the sun fade, we visit Burk Salter Boutique Winery and enjoy a wine tasting at the cellar door,r which is fitted out with beautiful red gum bars. After dinner, join us for all the fun and excitement and participate in our “Murray River Cup”.

Day 5 (BLD) MURRAY PRINCESS Wednesday 19 August 2026
After breakfast, we cruise downriver to picturesque Swan Reach. The town was first settled in the 1850s, was originally the largest of five sheep and cattle stations in the area and is now home to native flower and fruit growers. The original Swan Reach homestead is now the Swan Reach Hotel, where you can enjoy an ale or cappuccino overlooking the Murray River (additional cost). Join a walking tour and visit the Swan Reach Museum (gold coin donation). Cruise downriver after lunch and take in the tranquillity as the landscape slides by. When we arrive at Sunnydale, it’s all ashore for the Woolshed Show as we recreate typical Australian woolshed history. Later, we visit the Native Wildlife Shelter, where some of South Australia’s most interesting native animals are cared for. And then of course, there is the great Aussie Barbecue – cooked and served in a bush setting on the banks of the mighty Murray River. Optional tour: Sunnydale Nocturnal Tour. Day 6 (BLD) MURRAY PRINCESS Thursday 20 August 2026
After an optional early morning Bush Tucker Breakfast or bush walk with the captain, the vessel cruises slowly downriver past magnificent cliffs sculpted by the river over millions of years. Relax on deck and take in the ever-changing scenery as birdlife soars overhead and the timeless Murray landscape unfolds around you. We reach Ngaut Ngaut Conservation Park, one of Australia’s most significant archaeological sites, for a step back in time – tens of thousands of years – with a guided boardwalk tour to view ancient rock carvings and learn about the rich Aboriginal history of the area. Returning to the vessel, we continue cruising downriver to Younghusband, with the option for adventure seekers to enjoy a scenic tender boat ride along the way. This evening, celebrate your journey with a delicious final night dinner, wonderful company, and lively onboard entertainment as you reflect on your unforgettable Murray River experience.

Day 7 (BD) MANNUM TO MONARTO Friday 21 August 2026
This morning, after breakfast, PS Murray Princess arrives at Mannum, where we reluctantly say farewell to the river. We board our coach and head to Monarto Safari Park. the largest open-air safari experience outside of Africa! Today we immerse ourselves in the sights, smells and sounds of the savannah as we travel across the open plains through herds of animals seemingly free to roam – safari style. With over 50 species of native and African animals, the park plays a major role, nationally and internationally, in breeding programs for rare and endangered species. After time for lunch, we’re in for a real treat when we embark on The Lions 360 Experience. It’s Australia’s only 360-degree lion encounter, which gives you a prey’s eye view into the world of these incredible predators. Walking through the tunnel, we’ll emerge within clawing range of one of Australia’s largest lion prides. The safe but adventurous encounter will leave us amazed. It's now time to travel the short distance to check in to the beautiful resort overlooking the savannah. Tonight, soak in the last rays of the sun on a guided tour of the Wild Africa precinct after hours from the Safari Truck, you’ll be immersed in parklands and watch free-roaming herds of animals from the comfort of the Safari Truck and savour sunset, drinks and canapes.

DAY 8 (BLD) MONARTO TO VICTOR HARBOR Saturday 22 August 2026
What a wonderful time we have had — at moments it truly felt like we were on an African safari! This morning, we farewell our unique wildlife experience and continue our journey through the beautiful Murraylands region. In nearby Mypolonga, we stop at Aussie Apricots for an informative talk and brief tour of their operation, where we discover how fresh fruit is carefully picked, hand-cut, dried, and transformed into delicious confectionery, jams, and chutneys. There will also be time to sample and browse their delightful range of local products. While here, we visit the fascinating Revolution Motor Museum, where one man’s passion comes to life through an impressive collection of beautifully restored vehicles — you won’t believe the incredible treasures on display! Continuing on to the renowned wine region of Langhorne Creek, we enjoy a relaxing lunch at Lake Breeze Winery, a historic family-owned vineyard dating back to the 1880s, surrounded by picturesque vineyard views. This afternoon, we travel onward to the charming coastal town of Victor Harbour, where you’ll have some leisure time to explore, enjoy the sea air, or simply relax before we come together again for dinner and a pleasant evening with fellow travellers.

DAY 9 (BD) VICTOR HARBOR Sunday 23 August 2026
A relaxing morning awaits today — perhaps enjoy a gentle stroll along the Esplanade, breathing in the fresh sea air and taking in the calming coastal views as the waves roll in. It’s the perfect way to start the day at your own pace. We’ve arranged a delightful morning tea at the Causeway Café, where you can sit back, enjoy good company, and savour a cuppa before some free time to browse the local boutiques, galleries, and specialty stores, with the opportunity to purchase lunch at your leisure. This afternoon, we take a scenic coastal drive to the charming seaside village of Port Elliot. Why not stop at the famous Port Elliot Bakery — a true South Australian icon — where locals and visitors alike travel far and wide for their irresistible sweet and savoury treats. From there, we continue around to picturesque Horseshoe Bay, a stunning crescent-shaped beach and the perfect spot to relax, take in the sparkling ocean views, and simply enjoy the beauty of this special part of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

DAY 10 (BLD) VICTOR HARBOR TO KANGAROO ISLAND Monday 24 August 2026
We are up early this morning as we travel to Cape Jervis to begin our journey to one of Australia’s most remarkable natural destinations. Sailing across the scenic Backstairs Passage, keep an eye out for seabirds and marine life as we make our way to the unmistakable sanctuary of Kangaroo Island. You are in for a true treat as we spend the next two nights exploring this breathtaking island, renowned for its rugged beauty, abundant wildlife, and exceptional local produce. From towering coastal cliffs and wild open plains to pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, every turn reveals another unforgettable landscape. Our first stop is Clifford’s Honey Farm, where we uncover the secrets behind the island’s famous Ligurian bees — a rare and protected species found only on Kangaroo Island. Enjoy tastings and perhaps indulge in their delicious honey ice-cream… yum! We then continue to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, celebrated for producing 100% pure eucalyptus oil. Here we enjoy lunch while learning about the fascinating history and traditional methods behind this iconic Australian product. Next, we visit Kangaroo Island Wool for an immersive working mill tour, beginning with an impressive cinematic experience inside Australia’s only 9-metre Igloo Dome. Discover the island’s rich heritage — from early European settlers to today’s passionate wool farmers — and meet the people who have shaped Kangaroo Island’s proud wool legacy. A short drive brings us to our hotel in Kingscote, the island’s main township, set on the northeast shores of Nepean Bay. Surrounded by rolling hills and coastal cliffs that descend towards the heritage site of Old Kingscote, it is the perfect base to relax and soak in the island atmosphere.

DAY 11 (BLD) KANGAROO ISLAND Tuesday 25 August 2026
Enjoy breakfast this morning before setting out for another beautiful day, discovering the treasures of Kangaroo Island. Today, we meet some of the island’s most famous residents at the world-renowned Seal Bay Conservation Park. On a guided experience, we have the rare opportunity to walk among the largest colony of endangered Australian sea lions in their natural habitat. Watch them laze on the warm sand, playfully interact with one another, and glide effortlessly through the surf — a truly unforgettable wildlife encounter. We then journey across the island’s diverse landscapes to the spectacular Flinders Chase National Park. This rugged wilderness showcases some of Kangaroo Island’s most iconic natural landmarks. Marvel at the Remarkable Rocks, dramatically sculpted granite formations perched high above the Southern Ocean and take in the breathtaking coastal views at Cape du Couedic. At Admirals Arch, stroll along the impressive boardwalk to witness a colony of New Zealand fur seals resting and playing among the rocks below, with waves crashing against the cliffs in a magnificent display of nature’s power. It’s a day filled with extraordinary scenery, incredible wildlife, and moments that truly capture the wild beauty of Kangaroo Island.

DAY 12 (BD) KANGAROO ISLAND TO SWAN HILL Wednesday 26 August 2026
Following an early breakfast, we reboard the SeaLink Ferry for our return journey to the mainland, enjoying one last look at the rugged coastline and sparkling waters of Backstairs Passage as we farewell beautiful Kangaroo Island. Once ashore, we begin our journey east, travelling through the charming historic township of Strathalbyn before joining the freeway that carries us via Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the changing scenery as we make our way across South Australia’s sweeping landscapes. This afternoon, we cross the South Australian/Victorian border and continue via Ouyen towards Swan Hill, our final overnight destination on tour. Situated on the southern bank of the mighty Murray
DAY 12 (BD) KANGAROO ISLAND TO SWAN HILL continued Wednesday 26 August 2026
River, Swan Hill is a vibrant regional town with a population of nearly 10,000 people. Rich in history and character, it features fascinating old homesteads, galleries, craft shops, and the famous Burke & Wills tree, offering a glimpse into Australia’s pioneering past. After a rewarding day of travel, we settle into our hotel and come together for dinner, reflecting on the many wonderful experiences shared throughout our journey.

DAY 13 (BLD) SWAN HILL TO WAGGA WAGGA Thursday 27 August 2026
Taking a leisurely drive to Deniliquin this morning, we enjoy a relaxed start to the day as the landscape unfolds around us. Upon arrival, we stop to stretch our legs at the Peppin Heritage Centre, a beautifully restored historic building that once served as Deniliquin’s first public school. Now transformed into a fascinating regional museum, it features engaging permanent exhibitions that showcase the stories, heritage, and pioneering spirit of the local area — well worth a visit. After exploring it, we make our way to the Deniliquin RSL Club, where a delicious lunch has been arranged, offering a chance to relax and enjoy good food and company. This afternoon, we continue our journey toward Wagga Wagga, travelling through the heart of the Riverina region, known for its rich agricultural landscapes and charming country towns. Arriving in Wagga Wagga, we settle into our accommodation for the evening and unwind after another enjoyable day on tour.

Checking out of our hotel, we travel to Yass for our morning break and visit the Yass & District Museum. The museum houses part of the Yass & District Historical Society's collection of photos, artefacts, documents and other relics of early life in the area and of Australia's past. Lunch is arranged at the Yass Soldiers Club before our afternoon drive to Camden, with its historic streetscapes and relaxed country atmosphere, and we settle in for the final night on tour.
