The Ripon High School Key Club and Social Justice Alliance will be partnering with the Ripon Area Community Theatre and Ripon Noon Kiwanis, to host a special murder mystery dinner on Saturday, February 22nd in the Ripon high School Commons. Proceed from the event will benefit the Key Club and the Social Justice Alliance.Actors from the Ripon Area Community Theatre will be enacting the interactive murder mystery, "Murder at the Midnight Hour," which takes place at a wedding during the 1960s.
"Mr. Henry Hogget and Mrs. Abigail Windsor cordially invite you to attend the midnight wedding of Jewel Opal Hogget to Roger Quinton Windsor on December 31st, 1969."
Guests are encouraged to dress for a 60s wedding, but when the groom's an upper crust rich boy, and the bride is a free spirited bohemian, the fashion can range from Mad Men mod to Hippie-Chic. Can you dig it?
Weddings are usually such groovy occasions. Unfortunately, this one will be the exception to the rule; and 'til death may be sooner than you think.
The dinner portion of the evening comes courtesy of the Key Club and Social Justice Alliance, who will be preparing a Spaghetti Mystery Dinner for guests. However, there'll be more than one mystery being served up; the menu will be code and guests won't know what they've ordered until it's been brought to their table. Will you have ordered spaghetti? A fork? You’ll find out.
But don't worry, it's all in good fun (and for a good cause). Once the courses have all been served, guests will have the opportunity to partake in seconds and everyone will have their chance to eat and guess "whodunnit?"
The dinner will be a one-night event, with limited tickets. Tickets are $40, which includes the mystery meal and murder mystery entertainment; with proceeds being split between the Ripon High School Key Club and Social Justice Alliance.
Tickets are available at the courtesy counter of Ripon’s Hy-Vee and online at: https://riponnoonkiwanis.org/mystery-dinner.
Doors will open at 5:30pm, with dinner and the mystery starting promptly at 6pm, in the RHS commons, 850 Tiger Dr, Ripon.
Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in raffles during the evening that will support the SJA and Key Club; while learning about both club’s activities.
“Murder at the Midnight Hour” is presented with special licensing with Haley Productions’ Games.
The Ripon Area Community Theatre has been a sponsored program of the Ripon Noon Kiwanis since 1996; and the Ripon Noon Kiwanis has been serving the children of the community since 1924!
