Mums Matter!

We're delighted to invite you to a special breakfast with the opportunity to capture some professional family photographs, in time to use as Christmas gifts. Invite your friends and come and make new friends over breakfast. Book your place now!

Essential booking:

You're welcome to book a slot for photos and breakfast or just for the breakfast as you choose. Booking a slot for each family is essential so we can get numbers for photography, catering and to ensure the hall doesn't get too full. Dads, partners, Grandads, Aunts, Uncles and friends are welcome this month so they can be in the photos too!

Timings:

This will be a very relaxed breakfast. You can come straight from the school run (if you do one) and enjoy your breakfast while others arrive. We have space for 12 mini photos shoots within the following two time slots. Please choose your slot:

+ 9.00 - 10.15

OR

+ 10.15 - 11.30

Pre-schoolers and babies are welcome:

You're children are welcome as we guess you will want them in the photos! There will be toys for them to play while you enjoy yourself.

You don't have to come with children or have photos:

By the way, you don't have to come with children and you don't have to get a photo taken! Mums can just come and relax with us over breakfast!

Can other family members come and be in the photos?

Yes! We appreciate that this month you may want Dads, partners, Grandads, an aunt or uncle in the photos. Just book one ticket for your family so we provide enough breakfast and space in the hall to fit everyone in.

Getting to Thanington Resource Centre, Canterbury:

Thanington Road is on the bus route out of Canterbury to Ashford, up Wincheap Road. The Centre is only 5 minutes walk from Wincheap park and ride. There is plenty of parking, friendly staff and accessible toilets for us to use.

Affordable family breakfast costs:

Thanks to grants, we are able to offer this special breakfast at a more affordable rate of £10.00 for the whole family or £5.00 for an adult. If you want photos, please book your place at the time slot you need for each family. Your contribution helps to ensure this affordable support for parents continues for everyone in 2025 - 2026.

You Eventbrite ticket includes:

• Breakfast pastries (or free from alternatives) and drinks
• A contribution towards staffing and publicity costs plus volunteer expences.

The actual photo shoots are free and you can choose which e-photos you want form Dover Media Group after the event (see below for more details about this).

Introducing Jodie our photographer:

"Hi mums, I’m Jodie I’m one of the main photographer at Dover Media Group and the one you’ll see at this shoot. My husband Simon and I run the business together, we split the jobs between us so we can both focus on what we do best, and for me that’s being behind the camera. I love capturing families and all the little in between moments that make your story yours.

"Over the years I’ve photographed everything from weddings and newborns to brand shoots and big family gatherings, but the thing that makes me happiest is creating photos that feel natural, warm and full of personality.

"When I’m not behind the camera you’ll usually find me at home with our two mischievous cats, Loki and Luna, who think they’re my studio assistants. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all and capturing some lovely memories together."

All the photoshoots are free and using a unique QR code, each family can purchase digital downloadable images in packages from £10 for one £25 for three, or additional images at £7.50 per image.
