About this Event
Join us in the Multispecies City Lab!
Let's re-imagine the city as a place where humans and other-than-humans collaborate, a place where magpies, the Yarra River, gum trees, algae, or fungi thrive. What would this multispecies city look, smell, or sound like? The Multispecies City Lab challenges today's urban structures and encourages you to speculate on possibilities for urban living beyond the human.
During the workshop, we will combine speculative fiction, artistic co-creation, and multispecies thinking. Together, we will craft images and stories of alternative, parallel, or future cities that matter.
The Multispecies City Lab, which is part of University of Melbourne ethics-approved research, is open to participants aged 18 and older.
The Multispecies City Lab is funded by Research Foundation Flanders, and further supported by the University of Melbourne and KU Leuven.
